Dr. Ellen Kapiloff O.D.

Dr. Kapiloff grew up in Long Island, NY and graduated Cum Laude from Union College in Schenectady, NY. She attended the State University of New York College of Optometry and was awarded honors for academic excellence in her primary care externship.

Dr. Kapiloff has worked in private practice in New York City and has been practicing in New Jersey for over 25 years. Using the latest technology, she has significant experience in primary eye care and the diagnosis and management of ocular medical conditions including dry eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Kapiloff is also highly skilled in the fitting of specialty contact lenses such as multifocal contact lenses and those for astigmatism.

Myopia management, a term used to describe specific treatments to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children, is one of Dr. Kapiloff’s passions. In fact, her own two adult children began a successful myopia management program when they were seven years old.

Consistent with her affinity for working with children, Dr. Kapiloff is a volunteer for InfantSee, an AOA public health program where affiliated optometrists provide comprehensive eye assessments to any infant 6 to 12 months of age free of charge. Dr. Kapiloff is also a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. She is the vice president of the Tri-County Society of Optometric Physicians. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing with her new puppy.
